3D scanning for artists and designers.

Based in Brooklyn, NY

SERVICES

Face and body scanning

For face and body scanning, I use either an Einstar scanner, or a Revopoint Range scanner, which has a point distance of down to .1mm.

These scanners are portable and I can provide on-site scanning services if needed, or scan at my premises in South Slope, Brooklyn.

3D scanning for small objects

For jewelry, coins and other small items, I use a Revopoint Mini scanner, which has a point distance of .02mm and an output point distance of .05mm.

Art and object scanning

I can scan sculptures and artworks with the above scanners, and work with you to scale your object up or down, or manipulate it in other ways, before 3D printing, CNC milling or other fabrication approaches.

3D modeling + reverse-engineering

Do you have an object that you need to replace? Maybe you can no longer buy the part off the shelf, or you want to create a perfect replica of a manufactured object that needs to function or fit other parts.

I can scan the object for you, which is one step in the copying process, but if you need a clean, functional 3D model, your scan may need to be reverse-engineered (i.e. traced in a 3D modeling program). I work with a network of trusted CAD designers who can reverse-engineer a scan file in Rhino or SolidWorks.

Digital sculpting

I work with a network of experienced ZBrush artists to smooth, sculpt, and restore detail to 3D scans.

3D file repair

Do you have a file that you want to 3D print, but that contains errors? I can use Netfabb and Fusion360 to analyse and repair your model, to ensure that it passes upload checks succesfully and prints well, or advise on redesign.
